The DSSI is a clinical screening tool utilizing the PHQ-9 (designed to screen for depression in the primary care setting and is a reliable and validated tool for depression severity) as well as the WeedRecs Suicidality Index, which determines what the risk of suicide may be in patients that indicate thoughts of self-harm.  Please note that the Suicidality Index has not been evaluated in a controlled clinical trial and was developed internally as an automatic guardrail to identify at-risk patients for our clinicians. Additional tools employed include the GAD-7 and PC-PTSD. The GAD-7 is a self-reported screening tool for diagnosis and severity assessment of anxiety disorder, which has been validated for use in primary care settings.  The PC-PTSD is designed as a self-reported screening tool for post-traumatic stress disorder and has been validated for use in primary care settings to identify respondents with PTSD.
